    Responds to a report of some military officers on the island of Gozo who threw hot copper coins to a crowd of boys. Noting Charles Babbage's notoriety as a scourge of 'dirty Italian organ-grinders', suggests that Babbage adopt this 'expedient to rid himself' of the organ grinders, whom Punch thinks are very different from the 'inoffensive children' in the reported case.
