    While noting a House of Lords committee's imminent consideration of new London railway bills, announces news that astronomers at Royal Observatory, Greenwich, have warned that 'their telescopes will be shaken' by introducing railways into Greenwich Park (167). Later notes a parliamentary conversazione at which 'Harbours of Refuge, Sewage, and Electric Light' were discussed.
