Discusses a debate on cannibalism at a recent meeting of the Anthropological Society. Notes the fear felt by some members of the 'devouring element' in a speech given by Charles C Blake, but points out that Blake has not advocated cannibalism 'as an alternative if the cattle plague continues'.
