Compensation for Hampstead Heath

Genre:

News-Commentary

Subjects:

Environmentalism, Railways, Transport, Commerce

Discusses an attempt by the Metropolitan Board of Works to negotiate the purchase of Thomas M Wilson's lands for which he is charging a huge price. Suggests that the Board of Works be allowed to take legal action against Wilson, just as a railway company could take action against a landowner who charged exorbitant costs for buying his land.
