    Following a suggestion in the Pall Mall Gazette that pointers should be 'shoed', anticipates that the 'progress of agriculture' will lead to even more advanced techniques including 'steam cart-horses', the 'steam-dog', and hunting conducted with 'steam guns' and 'steam pointers'.
