Describes the structure, taxonomy, and in some cases habitat of the German woundwort and a number of varieties of nasturtium. Writes in reference to the woundwort that 'B. de Saint Pierre thinks that the flutings are as many channels to facilitate watering the root' (429). Observes that 'lightenings' can be observed on the nasturtium leaf at nightfall or dawn and reports: 'Mademoiselle Linnaeus was the first who made this observation' (430).
