    Describes the landscape of and vast number of turtles on Ascension Island. Notes that the turtles are used as food for the garrison on the Island and describes how the animals are caught. The illustrations depict a turtle on a beach at the island, a view of the island from afar, the delivery of a turtle to a ship, and a number of turtles swimming near the shoreline.
