    Ridicules various 'trite remarks' on the preservation of health made in an almanac, 'dated from the Council-Room of a learned University and Society'. Concludes: 'We were not aware that the united labours of a "Society" were requisite to repeat what old Parr and our grandmothers told us long ago'.
