    Speculates on the destination of several cargoes of ice imported into Britain. Suggests they may be used by David B Reid in his attempt to cool the atmosphere in the Houses of Parliament or, alternatively, in workhouses, owing to Reid's claim that freezing bodies 'feel a total prostration of the appetite'.
