Vestiges of the Natural History of Protection

Anon

Genre:

Editorial, Drollery

Subjects:

Evolution, Cosmology, Politics, Agriculture

Exploiting the title and cosmology of Chambers 1844, argues that 'Protection originated [...] in an intellectual fog of singular density', whose 'vestiges are apparent in the imperfect state of Agriculture' and the 'crippled and shackled condition of Commerce'. Holds that the vestiges are also evident in the 'ducal skull' which shares 'thickness' with protection.
