Schönbein's Gun Cotton

Anon

Genre:

News-Commentary, Drollery

Subjects:

Military Technology, Invention, Discovery

Complains that Christian F Schönbein's invention of gun cotton will spawn imitators who claim priority over the original invention. Cynically suggests that people will be claiming that nothing is 'more obvious for loading guns than balls of cotton'.
