    Lists prizes given to statesmen of the day for agricultural machines that symbolise their political activities. For example, Robert Peel is honoured for a 'new corn-crushing' machine (an allusion to his opposition to the Corn Law), and the radical Irish politician Daniel O'Connell 'for the best set of tools, for draining a poor soil'.
