Suggests an advertisement for Thomas Holloway, who has devised imaginative ways of emphasizing the benefits of his 'Ointment and Pills'. The advertisement describes how a patient, long 'addicted to the follow of taking quack medicines' from which he derived no benefit, tried 'Professor So-and-So's Pills' and recovered his senses so much that he no longer takes quack medicines.
