For example, urges readers to encourage the 'Cholera Morbus', 'a disease of infinite service as regards the alimentary canal', by eating such foods as 'cheap pickled salmon and undressed cucumber'. Notes that brilliant white teeth can be produced by eating 'vegetable and mineral acids of all kinds'.
