Reports on first meeting of the Philoperisteron Society, a society for cultivating 'every variety of Pigeon', and a similar meeting at the same time attended by people who, as Punch implies, can be classified like pigeons: 'Baldheads', 'Beards', 'Carriers', and 'Trumpeters'. The illustration shows pigeons dressed in tailcoats at a social gathering.
