Subjects:

Agriculture, Chemistry, Politics, Government

Written in a style to represent a yokel, points out that when Benjamin Disraeli spoke of 'the theory of M. Liebnitz' regarding 'mineral manure', he meant 't'other feller whose neam begin wi' Lie, as taches us to cure the poorness of the land by givn of physick—Lie-Big'. Asks Punch to explain Disraeli's advice to 'apply more capital to the land', thinking that the statesman means flinging sieved money over the fields.
