    Discusses Mr Punch's reaction to a Lancet advertisement from R T Pigram which appears to suggest that slight attacks of apoplexy are good for health, and which announces his 'Self-Acting Indicator of the Human Figure'. Notes Mr Punch's conclusion that the latter is a 'machine for testing the increased bulk of the patient'.
