    Noting the possibility that the 'Science of Races' is concerned with horse racing, explains that ethnology is 'the science of the human race in particular'. Describes the displays of various human races at the Crystal Palace, including the East Indians, the Malays, the peoples of Sumatra, New Guinea, the Dyaks of Borneo, and the North American Indians. Each description includes remarks on physical appearance (including fashion).
