Reflects on the staging of baby shows 'in Lunnun', and compares them with cattle shows. Lamenting the appearance of baby shows 'Among the wild beasties at Bartlemy Fair', anticipates a similar event being held at Surrey Zoological Gardens. Considers such displays to be degrading to mothers and babies. The illustration shows a baby inside a cage with a female lion.
