    Reports on the cost of using the telescope in Leicester Square: 'the Stars are lumped into pennyworths, and the Great Bear is divided into halfpenny lots, while the Constellations are all to be viewed according to their importance and magnitude'. Reports that the telegraph at the Admiralty 'works occasionally throughout the year' and that attempts to make it form a 'z' are considered 'highly successful'.
