Sparrows, Hedgehogs, Etc.

News-Commentary, Drollery

Hunting, Animal Behaviour, Cruelty

Relishes news of the campaign against 'Sparrow Clubs', which 'without mercy' slaughters thousands of sparrows—birds which perform the important function of destroying caterpillars. Also applauds the efforts of Thomas N Stephenson for doing 'gallant battle' in The Times against the slaughter of hedgehogs.
