The Doctors in Danger

Anon

Genre:

News-Commentary, Drollery

Subjects:

Medical Practitioners, Medical Treatment, Professionalization, Politics, Government, Commerce

Notes the introduction into Parliament of Thomas E Headlam's medical bill and the rival measure of Francis R Charteris (Lord Elcho). Urges doctors to 'be on the alert' lest these bills force them to pay a 'monstrous' registration fee. Regards the 'circulation of the profession' to be in a 'low state' and that such a penalty might cause a 'fatal collapse' in the profession.
