Pedestal for Jenner's Monument

Anon

Genre:

News-Commentary, Drollery

Subjects:

Medical Practitioners, Heroism, Vaccination

Suggests that the pedestal for the statue of Edward Jenner should show the 'great discoverer of Vaccination' placed 'on the point of a lancet arch'—a representation 'which will give Jenner a very much funnier position than that of the Duke [of Wellington] by St George's Hospital'.
