Another Stoppage

Steamships, Accidents, Engineering, Technology, Commerce

Discusses the delay in the launch of the SS Leviathan (SS Great Eastern) as if it were a 'stoppage' at a bank. Reports that the 'fix' is 'only a temporary one' but is satisfied that the launch will eventually 'go on most swimmingly'. Adds that 'it is confidently asserted' that the financial expectations of the ship—the 'large floating capital'— will be 'honourably liquidated in full'.
