Shows the sun, in which there appears the face of Edward H Stanley (Lord Stanley), being eclipsed by the face of his father, Prime Minister Edward G G S Stanley (14th Earl of Derby), which is made to form part of the mountainous surface of the moon. This is a reference to Lord Stanley's appointment to the position of Colonial Secretary in his father's cabinet, and also to the imminent 'Great Solar Eclipse' of 15 March.
