Saddling the Right Horse

Anon

Genre:

News-Commentary, Drollery

Subjects:

Animal Behaviour, Psychology, Medical Treatment

Discusses a Herefordshire [i.e. Hereford] Times article concerning a case, dating from 1806, of a horse which had a violent aversion to paper, but 'not the slightest fear of objects that would terrify most horses'. The report adds that attempts to cure the horse were unsuccessful. Believes the story is fabulous and meant to be allegorical.
