    Describes John E Gray's objection to Paul B Du Chaillu's claims, and Du Chaillu's dismissal of this attack on the grounds that Gray has slandered David Livingstone. This refers to the public attack, by Gray and others, on the veracity of Du Chaillu's account of his African travels and his observations of the animals he collected.
