    Explains to its 'Correspondent Birdcatcher' that 'a Thrush always builds its nest in a horse's hoof', and that the relationship between French and English birds is that 'Louis d'or [a reference to Emperor Napoleon III of France] is first cousin and not cousin German to a Jack Daw'.
