Discusses 'A Fact for Mr. Darwin'—the report of a visit to Madagascar which revealed that the inhabitants 'claim descent from the [...] native baboon'. Argues that although humans may not be alike, they share with the baboon a 'family likeness' that confirms their descent from monkeys. Thinks the missing link between the 'bimana and quadrumana' of the country may be the 'howling Yahoo' found in Ireland and America.
