Shows Henry J Temple (3rd Viscount Palmerston) who, dressed in a plasterer's outfit and sitting on some trestles, applies plaster to a small scale model of the International Exhibition. Closer inspection reveals that the plaster comes from a pile labelled '£484,000', a reference to the amount of public money needed to buy the exhibition building. The caption has Palmerston boasting: 'Lor Bless you! A little bit o' stucco will make it perfect'. |
