    Strongly objects to the implications of an advertisement for 'Patent Newly-Invented Spectacles' that have been patronised by Henry J Temple (3rd Viscount Palmerston), among others. Stresses that Palmerston's 'vision was never clearer than it is at present' and 'shows no signs of growing defective'.
