Our Railway Kings and Commons

Anon

Genre:

News-Commentary, Drollery

Subjects:

Railways, Government

Discusses news that the new parliamentary session will open with 43 railway directors in the House of Lords, which Punch thinks will inhibit Parliament in preventing the 'demolition' of London by 'Railway Aggression'. Anticipates the possibility that Londoners will not be able to procure a house without a railway destroying it.
