Ridiculing an extract from the Le Monde Artiste, which describes the title of 'barronet' being conferred upon 'the Poet Lanwent Alfred Temysson', develops this typographically inept and ill-informed style by suggesting other claims that might be made by the newspaper. These include the question: 'Would they hold Feraday's telescope firmer, or make steadier the crucible of M. Airy?'. |
