    Ridicules the Morning Herald for contemplating the claim that 'the steam engine has given an immense impetus to manufactures and commerce', and for insinuating that Henry J Temple (3rd Viscount Palmerston) 'should claim all the credit which is due to James Watt' and thus be connected with the discovery of the steam-engine.
