    Includes the claim that Richard Owen has obtained bones of the dodo 'which enable him to say that the picture in the [British] Museum was in all probability taken from a living specimen'. Also includes the observation that Swedish railways carry medically-trained guards, but wonders why trains in Britain do not carry a medical man 'as a ship does'.
