    Noting the 'testimonials' to character which the guardians of the St Pancras Poor Law Union have published, points out that 'the public laugh at them'. Presents an extract from one dubious testimonial written by an author of limited literary ability who insists that their Workhouse is 'Scripilis clane' and that the patients have no 'Complaintes'.
