    Continues descriptions of the narrator's visit to the spa town of Aachen. During his tedious experience of bathing he has a 'Tremendous Happy Thought', a 'Theory of Origination' that 'will astonish Colenso, upset Descartes, and scatter Darwinian theories, and perhaps create an entire revolution in philosophy and science'.
