Notes that a memorial, 'complaining of the admission of ladies to the classes of certain teachers in the School of Surgery, signed by sixty-six medical students, has been presented to the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh'. Reports that the signatories consider the presence of women to arouse 'various feelings which tend to distract the attention' from 'important subjects of study'. |
