    Notes the superior education of the Scottish people and is accordingly surprised by a report in the Civilian of the appointment of a 'Second Assistant Astrologer' at the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh. Thinks that the appointment, if true, would threaten Scotland's status as a nation of superior intellects.
