    The author is happy to announce that Henry Bessemer is likely to 'abolish' mal de mer, but he is not pleased to learn from a review of Charles R Darwin's Descent of Man that 'blushing "seems likely to be lost"', since he considers women look 'so charming under their flying colours'.
