Naval Morbid Anatomy

Applauds the Admiralty's decision to investigate the 'rotten' state of the Royal Navy in general, and their steamships in particular. Announces the possibility of 'Professorships of Naval Morbid Anatomy' for improvement of warships, and 'Museums, for the preservation of diseased specimens' of ship parts. Hopes for 'Hospitals, for the application of the discoveries to be made by the dissection of the dead hull to the benefit of the living craft'.
