Responds to an article in the Windsor and Eton Express concerning Prince Albert's distribution of some ten thousand copies of William Buckland's speech on the 'proper treatment of the Potato'. Notes that some of the recipients of this speech 'impudently inquire when the Prince will send the potatoes themselves' and that a 'Cookery Book' is regarded as an 'impudent jest' by the poor.
