News-Commentary, Drollery

Aeronautics, Railways, Transport, Engineering, Periodicals, Commerce

Responds to plans for atmospheric railways and balloons carrying people 'from all the suburban places of amusement'. Notices the launch of Balloon, a periodical which Punch suspects will only have a few readers. Agrees that it is an 'Age of Air', especially given the 'innumerable railway bubbles that are being continually blown off'.
