The Hyderabad Chloroform Commission's conclusion that 'chloroform may be given in any case requiring an operation with perfect ease and absolute safety' is 'so unexpected and so sweeping in condemnation of the hitherto accepted view' that an abstract of the report 'may be of interest outside of medical circles'. |
