Gives encouragement to 'Mr. Ruddiman Johnston's project of constructing a model of the world large enough to enable every one to appreciate the relative sizes printed in our atlases of different proportions'. The projected globe will be '84 ft. in diameter', giving 'an inch to every eight miles'. | |
