Helena P H Blavatsky North American Review

Subjects:

Theosophy, Psychical Research, Spiritualism, Materialism

Contends that the 'Theosophical Society hatched the Psychical Research Society, but it has much more vitality than its chicken'. Also reports Blavatsky's claim that the theosophical movement is 'a necessity of the age' in its search for 'scientific proofs of the existence and predominance of the higher self' and its support for 'spirituality as opposed to materialism'.
