Subjects: | Biblical Authority, Endeavour, Medical Practitioners |
Applies the biblical text 'Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap' (Gal. 6. 7) to 'the labours of life' observing that 'industry is its own reward'. Quotes the text, 'Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings, he shall not stand before mean men' (Pr. 22. 29). Remarks that this is fully exemplified 'at the bar, in the college of physicians, and in the senate'. |
